as everybody says it's best to just feel the crowd. and i agree that having barber's adagio for strings so early will probably just kill the rest of the set. if i had to play those tracks in 40 minutes i would structure it like this

iio - rapture (riva mix)
rank 1 - airwave
pvd - beautiful place
gouryella - tenshi
william orbit - barber's adagio for strings
transa - supernova

i don't know where i would place dj mind-x cuz i never heard it. this way you start out grooving, slowly build, peak, finish strong with supernova. hell yeah. oh yeah and do you spin vinyl or cd's as someone else asked. and if it's vinyl, do you know of a place i can get me a copy of supernova? i've been looking all over for that track. it's killer! good luck with the show mate. cheers!

there is a difference between playing live and playing for a recording. recordings are fixed, planned sets where you don't play for people, per se. live sets are unplanned because you have to see how the crowd reacts to the tracks you drop. there is no crowd in a recording studio so you focus on the set that is planned to tell a story to the listener. hope this clears up any confusion. cheers!
