Cool

U can't get much cheesier than this new song which is supposedly trance, I heard this yesterday on the radio moments after I heard that Tijs had left Gouryella, it was not a good day:

DJ Alligator - Whistle Song

Actually it came out about a year ago. It has been a hit in most mainstream clubs over the spring and summer. Cheesy Hard Dance stuff, whistles and all. Love It!

are you kidding me? that's doesn't go into the cheese category! that goes into the trash category!

in my opinion, cheese is almost everything that is played to death. it's funny how most of cheese is actually 3-4 minutes long. almost anything with weird vocals (alice deejay) could be cheese (hey, coast 2 coast - home is gonna be on my "favorite cheese tracks" list soon)
i do like to listen to atb's two worlds when i'm sad or tired, but i hate 9pm though.
cheese is basically any track that could never-ever-ever be a classic, but it is played like it is or like someone wants it to be (armin's communication, now that is a classic!)

however... when sandstorm was first out... i'm sure eveyone of you went nuts to it... i remember the first time i heard it at a rave... everyone went nuts
and then hearing it in the clubs, then it started to get some radio play... then it became cheese...

so right down to the absolute basics... cheese is when it starts to make some major cash for the producer, or 'sell out'

or that's the theory behind some cheese

/flame mode on

Cheese is the stupid, silly hashed out sitcom that's fun to watch after you've just seen 2 great movies...
its funny when people talk about cheese and say that its "rave" music...it just make me feel so superior.

cheez can be good.. just look at some of the stuff mauro picotto makes... how cheezy was that riff in like this like that..? as i sed.. cheezy needs no definition as i should think that cheezy/tacky is universally known...

cheez can be created also. as DJ Shokwav said.. sandstorm at first was a major tune.. same with 9pm... but then it got over played and it no longer hasd that sparkle.. turns into cheez.

there is a clear line in my mind between good cheez and bad cheez...

one thing i dont understand... is why ppl r raving about that emmy tune.. wont let u down... BLEH thas way too cheezy for me.. i tend to hate those 80's tunes remix things.. THEY are cheez..

songs don't go from great tracks to being cheez just because they are
over played or by how high they get in the charts.

if a track is cheezy, its cheezy the min the producer finishers the
track.

lets face it all Tracne tracks the get somewhere are not all cheezy
and if you liked sandstorm or 9pm before it was unknown you liked cheez anyway

########to make trance cheez or any other type of music cheez#########

first make small catchy melodys-riffs,

give it no meaning,

use only one
synth line at a time so the simple minds can understand it,

#########to make real trance or any other type of music###############

make it mean something creat new worlds open the minds of people
make them think,

use complex synth lines with many things moving at once,

over all make the track complex in its self,

put your heart in it,

produce the track first for your self not the money factor, if you make $$$$$ so be it.
