Re: Where'd the DJ go?

So i was wondering if there was any specific moment in time, or if it was just a general movement when DJ Tiesto was just referred to as "Tiesto".
and if there was any specific reason for removing, "DJ" from the title.
I noticed Armin Van Buuren did that a long time ago - originally being called "DJ Armin Van Buuren" [i have some live sets where he was introduced as that as well], and now it's just Armin Van Buuren [no DJ]. again, any particular reason?
any other DJ's who eventually dropped the "DJ" and just became something else? |
I think the reason is that the most DJ´s nowadays also producers aswell..........
so the scene had changed too!
Look around how many DJ´s are producing tracks............
btw. it seems to be that you have only success when you´re producing good tracks too...........
I think that´s really sad.........
greetings
