Just downgraded to a CAT 4, but this sucker still packs a punch. Katrina was downgraded to a category 4 shortly before making landfall. Still, better than a full blown CAT 5.

It would appear the jury is still out, although I don't really know enough about it to say much helpful about the effects of global warming on hurricanes.
