those 1625's are good for the what they are worth. They are black right? The platter is pretty strong compared to turntables ive tried around the £200 mark!! which surprised me since the 1625 is prob worth £100. But the pitch slider is slightly light whichs means your gonna need to be a pretty damn careful with it when in a mix. Also its feels a bit like a belt drive where it takes a while for a track to fall back to the set speed when you've given the vinly a jab. I dont get this on my techs. I think this is because lack of torque but you can get around it by adjusting a drifting track with the spindle.

And about beatmatching. You will get it. After a while its a natural reaction to which way you adjust a track. Theres only 2 ways and you can hear a difference between a track thats too fast or too slow.

I actually learned to mix on traktor for a few years before I moved over to turntables. Now I mix with both together

nah practice makes ok.. pure obsession with mixing makes perfect. I spend probably 3-4 hours a day mixing and im still pissed off with my beatmatching and i started at 17! (21 now).. I guess thats just one of the things that happens when you get better. You notice mistakes more and its irritating!

3-4 hours A DAY? I don't have that much time

I try to get in an hour a day at least, although some days I miss.

I actually look forward to mixing, whereas practicing is considered a chore for so many other things.
