This is the Dan Ackroyd theory. He has been contending for years that various US government agencies have been clandestinely investing in television programs and movies dealing with the Alien invasion or space exploration theame. His believe is that this is being done to prepare the public for the eventual revelation that aliens exist and we are in contact with them. It doesn't seem too far fectched, however, we're talking about a theory developed by Beldar Conehead.... I mean this guy also thought a sequal to Blues Brothers was a good idea 20 years after the origional.... we know how sound a thought that was.
