the government is about to give low income people money to heat their houses. The problem is that most low income people rent and have that paid for by the landlord. They estimate that when the government did this in 2000, 80% of recipients did not pay a heating bill. 13000 cheques went to convicts and dead people.

another boondoggle in the making.

I wish i lived in alberta, where when the government gets a surplus they send a cheque to EVERY man woman and child instead of frittering it away on boondoggles like our federal government is doing.
