LOL

"Which of the following ranges contains the correct population of the United States today?"

-Between 10 million and 50 million
-Between 150 million and 350 million
-Between 500 million and 750 million
-Between 1 billion and 2 billion
-I Don’t Know

That is scary results for the US. They are fucking last there.

Also on, "The Taliban and al Qaeda movements were both based in which country?"

-Iraq
-Pakistan
-Israel
-Albania
-Afghanistan
-I Don’t Know

Last again, which country was it that al Qaeda attacked again?

" Take a minute and look at the map below. The United States of America is shown by what number on the map?"

Apperntly one in ten can't point out their own country. (Compare this to the other countries that had a 97% average to pick out their countries, which imo still is suprisingly high)

Also only around 20% of the americans could point out Afganistan or Israel.

And so on, intresting... US defently have a huge problem here.

It sadder for the US. But still very sad. Except for Sweden, the majority of people from all countries including the USA don't know the population of the USA.

Sorta makes you understand the 1% of the richest argument.

Very sad the British result in this one I would think. I guess they like to forget about the revolutionary war and the whole "america" thing in the British education system

This last result look likes it might even slide into the margin of error though

I'd be interesting to see if this age group is simply not attentive or if it is a broader social problem.

I'd say younger Europeans are smarter than younger Americans.
But middle-age Americans are smarter than middle-age Europeans. But thats just a hunch, it maybe the same

imo its not that average americans are really all that stupid, they just dont really give two shits about the rest of the world. they have all the money, entertainment & interesting events they need right at home- why learn more about the world that you dont care about?

^good point. So you are saying americans have become lazy since they have all what they need right here at home? Sounds like the American empire will soon crumble.

yeah, pretty much. see, australia is boring, local news makes me yawn, thats why i like catching international news which is far more interesting (tho mostly more depressing as well). if youre in a large powerful country that is in many ways the centre of world affairs, why would you care whether that funny shaped island in the south pacific was korea or australia?

lol @ firestarter.
considering the US has troops stationed all over the world, i reckon a couple companies of mounties with farming tools could very well get the job done

I went to a North Dakota public school, rated the best public education system in America but the fact is that most Americans think I am in Canada.

Look I live SOUTH OF CANADA!! I am an American!

And I got a 101 in my geography class. Do you know where Tajikistan is?

the clip is from a satirical News Show in Australia called CNNNN

http://www.cnnnn.com/

That was CNNNNs foreign correspondent, in another episode he walks around the streets of New York telling people he's the Prime Minister of Australia, one of the funniest responses i remember was one guy saying "on behalf of all Americans i would like to thank you John Howard for your continued support on the war on terror"

there's two seasons of the show and plenty of hilarious stuff.

it's very leftist Australian university humour
