I like long tracks. It gives more time to introduce the elements. Add a cymbal crash, three new layers, wait 16 beats, then another crash, and cut the previous layers, add some new... It's not my style. And it's not very dj friendly either. I don't dare to imagine what this would sound like in a 5 minutes edit. But you may be right on the Vintage warmener. I don't know what that is Is it some mastering thing? This track is not mastered in any way. I'm sure it would sound a lot better with a mastering, but I don't know anything about mastering tracks. I think you got spoiled, welcome to the amateur scene!

Loved your track Yahel & Eyal Barkan - Voyage (Arctic Breeze vs. CoDe-X Remix) not heard any other version but liked this one

clubkilla & Arctic Breeze
i kinda agree with you both...long tracks can be both to long
or just right, depends on the actual tracks them selves
if the build up is right with lots of variation within the track you don't tend to notice the length, you just get sucked in and enjoy the ride.
but on the other hand if the track is very flat and (what's the right term!) kinda the same all the way through, you do notice the length and get turned right off only listening to 2 mins worth.
I've heard tracks 15mins long and carries you right through to the end but others I have edited them myself and cut around 10mins off cos it just is to much.
