maybe a medical condition but not a disease
you hear things like that from people 'suffering' from the condition as if they're a victim and cant help it. alcoholism is also often called a disease but medical experts refuse to acknowledge these claims.
if you think about the qualifications of a disease, the person suffering from it has no control over what is happening to them. when you're sick say with a virus, you're sick and thats it. you can take medication and seek treatment but you can't directly affect the disease yourself.
obesity and alcoholism are behaviors. in order to 'suffer' from them you have to physically pick up the cheese burger or beer and put it in your mouth. if you stop doing this then you stop suffering. so all it takes is will power
so in conclusion, fat people have no one to blame but themselves. which is why its okay to make ugly faces at them, call them names, and throw rotten eggs.
because how else are they going to learn people... how else are they going to learn |
true.. im actually a solid believer we should bitch at fat people for being unealthy.. just like smokers.. lol people bitch at us all the time!
