In any forum there will be personalities that rub you the wrong way. That's not an indictment of them but rather a simple consequence of the multiplicity of people.

I thought Smoke was a great poster in a classic "Norm" on cheers kind of way and enjoyed the distinctive continuity of his posts.

I hate the son of a bitch, but he adds character to the forums.

I can't say whether I like or dislike Smokeape simply because I don't gauge my opinion on someone solely from my interactions with them via the net.

However, I will admit that most of the time, I did not appreciate his posts, and found his internet persona to be a bit of a jerk.

Smokeape is gone and that is good.
