in EVERY way?
1. There's no effects (WAH is amazing, esp for house)
2. No MP3 Capability
3. No PLAY from CUE (if you are stuttering with CUE, holding play at the same time converts the stutter to a continued play)
4. Did I mention no MP3 capability?
5. No instant 1 bar loop with loop cutter

.. yet somehow i still drool when i see a CDJ 1000.

The platter feels like paper and the effects are hit and miss. 1000s have a nice thick, vinyl-emulating platter, and most importantly: Vinyl mode. EFX unit has dozens of more capabilities and the MP3 function doesn't have very good quality-playback.. but you need about $800 more dollars for the 1000s Take care.
