well i dont know if the question im trying to answer necessarily has to be true or not. In my opinion he is damn close to being the worlds most famous dj since he has been voted number 1 dj several times and due to his increased popularity. Hell even my 53 year old teacher knew who he is and told me he was excited to read my paper on him. Well any help anyone gives me is very much appreciated. Thanks fellow ta's
thanks a lot. I looked on pvd site and they have almost copies of almost all the magaizines he has been in. You can see the articles and read them, that is going to be a huge help. Thanks again everyone.

recently i've lost the Vandit faith but listening to the above set again i realized why i was such a huge fan of pvd in the first place. Pvd is first and foremost a producer, and he has a massive amount of productions and remixes that distinctly define his 'sound'. Can i ask you? Would any other top trance dj (tiesto, armin, ferry, ) be able to hold his own in a set comprised of just their own stuff? How about a Ferry plays ferry (too many diff sounds)? How about a Tiesto plays Tiesto (would compete but not as solid a lineup as pvd's)? Armin's productions are mediocre/forgettable (his remixes are solid) and is currently mainly popular for his passion in his asot radio show (much respect..esp for his TA no.1 ranking).
In the end, Pvd has a solid body of work over his career that set him above his peers. Recently his sound has waned (Reflections and POD2->blech!), but over the course of his career he has few peers.
OTAB will forever be the genre defining album that paved the way to legitimize trance.

This is a pretty daft pro-PVD argument. You are essentially saying "All PVD's stuff sounds the same and, unlike Ferry, he doesn't experiment".

This is just bollocks.
Before you flame off, I am a fan of PVD (Seven Ways is the best trance artist album I've ever heard) and he has churned out quality productions for well over a decade, but what you are saying here is just fanboy hyperbole.

well i think im going to talk with my teacher about it. I dont know if the question you have to answer has to be true. Maybe i will go with is he the most popular dj.
let's get real here. your teacher has no idea who PVD is and no idea what Trance is. therefore it's highly likely that nothing you write HAS to be true, as the teacher wouldn't be the wiser either way.
