the problem sounds like its not grouned correctly...did you attach those small thin wires coming out of the TTs to the mixer?

Yeah I unscrewed the bolt thing from the grounder and fitted both of those fork ends inbetween a washer and then screwed it back on tight.

Umm...you connect the MASTER/MAIN out on the mixer to the AUX IN on the receiver. You do NOT use the PHONO input on the receiver at all! Select the AUX device on the receiver and that should do it.

If you don't have an AUX IN, you can use any line-level input (CD, VCR, DVD, etc.). Just make sure you connect to the red and white audio inputs only.

Okay last night I went to give it a go again. I had everything on and went to go "re-ground" the tables to the mixer. When I pulled the wires off the grounding bar on the back of the mixer, all of a sudden the mixers lights shot all the way up showing a signal. I put the plugs back on to ground the tables and then they went all the way back down again.

Whatever you do don't buy a Behringer mixer you'll end up regretting it.

Sure they're cheap but trust me the equipment won't last long and the brand is synonymous with cheap and unreliable.

Don't risk it.
