i dont get how that would make a diff though i erase the shit in my comp every day with ad aware and its just keep comming |
You should also run SpyBot S&D because those antispyware utilities aren't 100% foolproof, meaning that each of them will find pests that the other doesn't.
I normally use Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D and Pest Patrol combined with SpywareBlaster, while occasionally using Microsoft's Antispyware as well as Webroot SpySweeper - just to be sure that I've gotten everything.
At this point, it sounds to me like you may actually need to run HijackThis so you can distinguish exactly what malware is running rampant in that PC.
And as far as antiviruses are concerned, I've had 2 computers become infected with viruses in the past - one was running McAfee (IMO, crapola) and the other Norton. I will never waste any money on either of those products again. Kaspersky has my business for now.
Anyway, here's a semi-enlightening article for you to read:

I have had 1 virus in my history of using a computer and i have never ran constant virus protection and I rarely get any spyway and the ones that i do get are normaly tracking cookies. It pays to be informed on the sites your going too..Also opening random emails is a bad idea...

But have you ever had the opportunity to trash a computer on purpose?
I took a security class a few months ago where one of our projects was to see if we could get our lab computers to stop working altogether (and then fix them, of course.) I downloaded everything that I could find during that class period - CoolWebSearch, 180search Assistant, Gator, several Trojan Downloaders, the Sasser worm along with Netsky, MSBlaster, etc. The computer was definitely unresponsive with all of that crap loaded. However, I think it only took me about an hour or so to remove everything afterwards, but then I just reformatted and did a fresh Windows install anyway.
