Matt Lawton is on the Yankees, not the Pirates.

speakin of the yankees outfield, Matsui got caught with alot of porn that was bolstering his personal "bat"

one award that caught my eye was that Lowell after such a sucky season was able to win an award, the goldglove, maybe if MLB had a designatated fielder as well as hitter, we woudve put his ass on the bench and only use him as a fielder....

oh and butters stop kissin the Cubs ass

When have any awards meant anything? (aside from the nobel peace prize award). It's just more banter to throw around the forums as we argue over who should've got what

it's going to happen ..

first, it was the dbacks on their first try
then, it was the angels on their first try.
after that the bo sox break the curse.
later, the white sox (aka black sox) break the curse.

so by going by this trend, it's going to be the cubs or the d-rays that are going to win the world series ..

the nationals make their first move in efforts to overtake those pesky braves, and what else to try to modify ... pitching ..

they trade vinny castilla to the padres for brian lawrence, who has proven to hold ground for long amounts of innings, pitching 200+ innings 3 of his last 4 years .. good move by nationals management .

I wouldn't exactly call that an awesome move for either team, really. Both players stink. And Castilla should give the Padres a nice doubles threat. Mediocre deal for all involved.

i say lawrence has the same amount of value as javier vazquez and armas jr had a couple of years ago with the expos .. they have the sub high ERAs around 3.75 to 4 ... but the biggest thing with them is that they give quality innings .. they can last 7 to 8 innings night in and night out ..
