Agreed Dave...

BUT

When a guy can see the girl struggling and is dire need of medical attention, and tries to feed her speed to cancel the affects of the GHB this is criminal, irrespobsible and stupid. For that mere fact alone he should of been punished and punished hard. He had the girls life in his hands, and he chose not to help by ringing 000 but instead feed her more drugs, and to see the gimp smiling when leaving court makes me want to knock his teeth out.

That's me in the corner, That's me in the spotlight, I'm Losing my religion, Trying to keep up with you ,And I don't know if I can do it, Oh no, I've said too much,I haven't said enough, I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you sing, I think I thought I saw you try.

But that was just a dream, That was just a dream, But that was just a dream, Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream ,Just a dream, just a dream, Dream

Ok true but in that point in time when the girl is dying. I don't think the guy would have a clear mind to begin with, he is probably panicking and not knowing what to do.

He is probably afraid that if he does call 000 then somehow they will find out he did help her in the last minute but it was him who caused the girl to be in that state, rather he tries to get out.

Like those hit and run people, if they stay back then they will definetly get charged but with much more minimal sentence to if they got caught. So they run away hoping they don't get charged, same thing.

Sorry, but there is no excuse for that. You have someone in trouble, you call 000 and get an ambulance, simple. Even if you're not aware that the ambo's generally don't report these things to the police (they're more concerned with people's welfare than crimes) there is still no excuse at all for not trying to get help. Basically in thinking selfishly about himself, rather than someone who's life was in his hands, she has died.

It's people not caring about eachother in the scene that gives it a bad name.

We will never know what really happened and what was going through his mind

It's so important to be with people that have "got your back".

i dunno...wouldnt amphs be an antidote (to a degree) for a g overdose?
cos doesnt g slow down your heart/body while speeding up ur metabolism?

no this is not the case at all. giving someone amphetamines to counteract g is a very bad thing to do because it speeds up the g overdose and brings it on more quickly. this for me is a case of drug dealers thinking that they are chemists/experts in what they are selling and they know the chemicals and how to counteract them.

that sentence is a travesty, saying that it is the persons fault for taking the drug in the first place is ridiculous. sure they chose to take it, but that does not mean they deserve to die because of it. this person had a responsibility to someone that was clearly in need of medical attention to provide it, yet instead of doing the right thing he decided to become an overnight doctor and prescribe his own treatment. which most likely cost the young woman her life, there is a high possibility that if he had not given her that speed that she would be alive today especially if he had called an ambulance. therefore he was directly responsible in her death and to be given a three month sentence is a disgrace.

my understanding is that she didn't choose to take it. she's just bought other things off him and thought she was taking a swig out of a water bottle...

i agree that it is always good to be with people that you know and trust, but surely there should be some common ground that if you see someone that is clearly in trouble you ask if they are okay and help them if necessary instead of turning a blind eye.

Nope. It's dickheads running around taking drugs and overdosing that gives the scene a bad name.

I've never read a news report saying "World in danger, friends aren't caring for each other at clubs". Instead I read headlines like "Youth OD'd at RAVE", and "Got some Pills brother?!"

You can deny that all you want, but the bottom line is that drugs are illegal substances, and they are heavily used at dance parties. Not much you can do about it man.
