lol no. i dont get paid for letting in people for free... maybe others do, i dunno... frankly i don't care lol, promoting isnt my market.
to answer your question (and i speak for myself only, not sure what other motives are) for me it's a promo, helps the dj and the club get out there... and i guess the club figures if you get in for free you would spend more on drinks, im guessing lol.
i've been into the music since i was a kid. i spin and promote other artists for the love of EDM. i myself am not in it for money, that's why there's commercial real estate
