Thought a conversation I just had was relevant to this thread:
Noons (aka Antistatic!!),
I owe you an apology for Saturday night but what can I say, I suck! Although I guess that everybody already warned you about that (wink!). Anyway I feel bad so I thought I would send you a deepest apology email. I hope you had a good time and i'm sure that I would have only embarrassed you, by stacking it in true form after copious amounts of alcohol (in front of everybody).
Hope that you're having a good week. Mum's been roping me into painting canvases and mounting them on my little sisters wall which is an interesting take on modern art I must say but they think it looks cool so that's main thing.
Anyway I better go.

My reply:
Don't worry about it. To be honest I wasn't expecting to hear from you but I guess you've got more integrity than what I originally thought. I've thought about it and I agree that it would be best to just stay friendly but not get involved since that's obviously not what you're interested in (i.e. staying with one person). To be fair I should tell you that I am actually pretty arrogant sometimes and if you hadn't blown me off on Saturday I'm sure I would have done the same to you once I got sick of your different attitudes in public and private. You were right at Jess' party - it wouldn't work (from my perspective at least) because I guess I need someone with ambitions of a higher order than just getting drunk and drugged up every weekend.
I've decided to reserve my +1 for Sub Culture for someone that treats me a little better. Of course, if you are still planning on going you can buy an industry ticket for $70 while I still have some left.
