I've had wax build up in my ears before, mainly because I work in a noisy industrial environment.
Olive oil works good, so does hydrogen peroxide, I wash my ears out with peroxide and a bubble syringe and than rinse them out with warm water about once a week.
When I did get an ear blockage from wax I had to go see a specialist and they had to dig it out, they told me it was from loud noise levels and ear phones. |
I do the peroxide and warm water thing too, about once a month. I let the peroxide sit in each ear for 3 minutes. I had total wax blockage before in one ear, I used some non-prescription heavy duty earwax remover solution I bought at the drugstore, it worked. I've never heard that loud noise causes earwax buildup, more likely the buildup was caused by wearing protective earplugs. When I had that total blockage, I hadn't been exposed to any loud noise levels. It's just that some people's earwax isn't thin enough to drain out like it should.
As far as production, lately I've been spending a few hours a day on it, sometimes more. I skip a day here and there. I tend to binge some days, going for hours and hours. It's a fun hobby and a great time killer. Worth the time spent I think, since it's a great creative outlet.
