Santa is fat.
Well decembers halfway done... it's been a busy month for me.. well on the hill =). But I got some new clips up for you of my remix for Parallel Sound. New dj sets going to be posted next month.
I had a last minute gig scheduled at Gorgomish last friday, alongside Ferry MSH. Thanks again Farzhad and Padra for having me come down and play, it was a good time... hands down best sound system in Vancouver! Some pics below! I've also included some photos from my Japan trip earlier this year.

This month Im featuring a friend of mine, Paul Keeley (aka, Gyges, Bob Doelle etc..) Some may remember him as the other half of Amnes...LIVE with myself when he was living in Vancouver. But the east was calling him back, so he made the move. Take a listen to his live set from 'Elektra' Festival in Quebec City, wicked! This saskatchewan born prairy boy had a huge influence on the way I listen to music and produce it. No Dj'ing here, all live, original compositions when he plays out.

Featured Artist Paul Keeley, for December:
Paul Keeley resides in the city of Montreal where he creates his own personal style of an amalgamation of house, techno, progressive tech-house, and a touch of glitch. Always, the focus is on creating a rich and thick dancefloor-oriented musical experience, and presenting it in a live atmosphere, performing his music using his laptop and various external control surfaces.
Paul has released on various labels and netlabels during the past few years - most notably, on the Thinner and Epsilonlab net-labels. He also releases dark and abstract techno and ambient musical material on the up-and-coming Archipel label/netlabel as his alter-ego: Gyges. The near future includes a CD LP release on Epsilonlab as Paul Keeley, as well as a 12" and CD LP release on Archipel as Gyges.

December Production Tip
You Lush!
Have you ever wondered how a lot of tracks have such strong, depthful pads with movement, textural elements and generally farely rich sounding... well it's not simple. There are several levels to creating a very texture and aural satisfying pad. These include (but aren't limited to) alternative timbers being used, a lot of layering, movements within LFOs, Modulation, proper effects modelling, and automation....
One trick I use is to bit reduce a re.....
