Yeah, I think I could go for a marathon set, but there's just no way I could improvise it... I think on a completely improv set my max is currently 4 hours... Tenaglia went for like 26 hours for Arc's (NYC) closing party.

i don't know how many of you non-NYCers have heard of Jonathan Peters...almost all of his big theme nights go welllll beyond 24 hours.

The most I've done was around 4.5hours and I could've gone for a couple more, it's just so much fun

At home alone, I can't do more than an hour, but if I'd be playing at a party or at a club, I can imagine playing for 6+ hours, never done it though

ive only ever done 2 hours max.. ive seen my mate mix around 100 vinyl at one point. dunno how long that would be? 8.5hrs if we say each track is roughly 5mins.. If I ever done that id be damn proud

by long mix do you mean just stay behind the table and keep at it? or breaks (washroom, drink, food if it may be?). after my understand as long as the music keeps going it matters not what you do within a song (bathroom...etc).

anyhow i used to constantly do betwee 4.5 and 5.5 hours, but longest is usually during New Years Eve gigs. 8.5 hours straigth. during the last one the only thing that i had to drink was water, no food, no alcohol (well this was due to being scared not to fuck up to much, afterall i was playing almost every type of music possible) and only bathroom breaks within a song. that was awesome, but i think the best part was the hot tub afterwards.

i agree though for shows this long you must have it somewhat planned, because you can't improv the whole thing.
