lol...I already got a JP8000 (£300) and there is no way on earth I would pay £250 for a software synth that needs a £200 cpu to function and then £40 for a set of patches to not even come close to the sound of a real JP8000
45 euro would be more worth while being saved and invested in a hardware synth, I'm looking for a supernova2 which are selling on ebay for £200.
Yeah, softsynths like VAZ and V-Station etc.. may sound excellent, but the price of these soft synths are a joke.......you need to also invest in a £200 to £300 cpu to use them effectivly and then you have all the bugs to deal with.....for the same price you get the hardware synth....only a fool would choose the software ...that's unless you don't have the room or you live in a shack
until software developers get real with their prices...I won't be touching no software synth that isn't worth a penny the moment you buy it and which you never really ever own (licence bullshit)..if buy something I want to own it...simple.
at least with hardware...you get some return or maybe even more than you paid.....take my JP8000 for example...how much you think it's worth now...
sorry to sound arrogant here...but software publishers really p..s me off with prices like that
I've had my fair share of buggy and totally usless unsuable software.

@Kire: Sounds are quite good and solid. They don't beat the JP8000 or the Virus, but they are very usable for people who want that kind of
supersaw sound and cannot afford the real thing...
well if they can afford the £500 PC and £250 softsynth needed the use the £40 patches then I'm sure £200 to £400 isn't too much for a real hardware saw synth If you want that sound, go for the real deal...don't cut corners for sake of a few quid.

I truely respect your opinion!
Take a look at other patch-makers prices. They offer 128 patches for an already completed synth with a higher price.
I made my synths from scratch in a software (VAZ) that has never crasched. You get 220 patches.
I have also always thought that it's so much more easy to work with software than hardware. My JP-8000 and Virus b isn't as fast and easy to work with as my VAZ system.
Take care!
Good luck with your music!
Best regards,
Kire

I kinda understand what u mean, Bedlam. I wouldn't hesitate paying €45 for some kickass patches, but the price tag of Vaz means I'll sadly be sailing past this offer. Hope u do well with it nonetheless, Kire

If VAZ was £30 then I would probably think about it.......cubase cost me £375 which is an amazing bit of software but far too costly, considering the fact that it's constanly neededing updates and fixes .. Some of these softsynths (addons) costing nearly the same price as cubase have nowhere near the same features as cubase.
sofware is cheap to produce and market on the internet, there are no saftey issues and no manufacturing processes.....so high prices are unjustified.
Hardware on the other hand is expensive and requires large premises, multiple manufactering lines, saftey issues etc....so the price reflects this when you buy a hardware synth/module.

I'm shamed to say I always dismissed Vaz as a one sound synth (the typical uk hard trance guyver sound of the last few years) i know its narrow minded, but thats all I used to think of when i used the synth.
