I mainly know the libel issues. In a British libel case, the burden of proof rests with the defendant. This means you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent, whereas we know the U.S. system supposedly operates under a system of innocent until proven guilty. Oddly enough, British tabloids are much crazier than American ones, in terms of what they'll print.
I just spent 10 minutes looking for an article I saw this morning about the two reporters responsible for the leaked documents and I can't find it. That's disgraceful because it was either the Washington Post or the NY Times and they must have pulled it. Good work on your threats, Mr. Blair! The Daily Mirror doesn't even have an article about their reporters getting indicted....
