Quick story:
Back in 2000 I bought my mother a computer for Christmas. While at her house over the holiday season I set the computer up for her to use. She was fairly familiar with using the computer for word processing and such since she used one at work - but the work computers at the time were vastly different than the multimedia home computer.
So anyway, about 2 weeks later I'm at work in a meeting and the secretary comes into the meeting two or three times to hand me phone messages, each of them saying "Mom called. Return call ASAP.".
After the 3rd pink phone slip from the secretary I figure I better call my mother to see what's up.
I call my mom and inquire as to what the problem is...
"I broke the cup-holder" my mother says.
Confused, I reply: "You broke the cup-holder?"
"Yes, I broke the cup-holder. It won't go back into the computer! How do I get the cup-holder it back in, I hope it isn't expensive" she answers.
As it turns out, a few days after I got her the computer she pressed the CDROM button and saw the tray come out. She thought it was a cup holder and had been using it as a cup-holder for nearly 2 weeks. Finally the weight of the mug of coffee had broken the tray and it wouldn't slide back into the drive unit.
