Try again....folks. The asking price for this gem is $13,700,000 or $13.7 million. It's in the Tribeca/Soho area somewhere in downtown manhattan. Back in the 70's and 80's it use to be warehouses and home to lots of disco block parties, famous dj's, and art deco painters. I think Andy Warhol once painted around there. Of course the real estate market smelled the potential and starting raising rent to astronomical levels in order to push the poor out and the rich in. Today it's for rich people like us CORe whores!

You gotta love the new york style though. High ceilings, wood floors, red brick walls in certain rooms, and yes... SPEC ...very spacey living. It's elegantly designed and it's the simple touches that make this loft more appealing without going overboard.

Its not my style, but its nice. Get rid of that tub and get one of those flow-over tubs.

Im more into the warmer colors. Not a big fan of bright lights, metals and whites.

very nice loft! and yeah that is easily over the 10 million mark... man i'd kill for a place like that hehehe

anyone have any suggestions of where i can find other cool pics of lofts and interiors and stuff online? i've had a hard time of it in the past :/

oh and i don't want anyone in here saying anything about how cool it is unless you admit that interior design and nice stuff is cool and that you are an aspiring metro

for that price, you could have a gigantic mansion on an ocean shore... with the same interior features.

manhattan is crazy. in a bad way.

Thats a nice piece but in this city, location location location

yea the loft is hot, but you might have to walk a mission to travel anywhere. also the neighborhood is important, yea i guess living in this city if you can afford a loft like that you can afford parking spaces, parking tickets, paying the meter, paying for gas etc to travel in this city.

Real estate in the city for living purposes no longer abides by the SQ FT x $$, that usually applies to retail businesses. NYC Living Real Estate is about Location, Furnishing, Space (ceiling height), and Doormen.

I own a Brownstone in the UWS (property value is 55M - located right off broadway) which is approximately 14 apartments (for rent only ATM). I have 3 rooms left that are under rent control from nyc. After I get the 3 rent controlled rooms closed, I'll continue with my 2.5M renovation of the building. Probably making duplex's out of the brownstone for 4 apartments for rent, the penthouse apartment for sale (with roof/patio decor) as well as a business below (currently a laundry/dry cleaning business = $$)

So if there are truely people serious in living within this city, I'd say to scope out the location over the luxurious apartments. Not many people in tribeca can say they have a 24/hr Burger/Pizza Joint, 24/hr Supermarket (Westside Markets), 24/hr Candy Store (cigs/phillies/dutchies/beer), and a laundrymat right under them. Then again if you can afford a loft in tribeca like the one posted, I'd suggest you have your own laundry facilities and transportation to buy the necessary goods to keep your loft stacked.
