It's to weak, if you haven't done this yet, try compress the kick and bassline on one channel, and put an equalaiser on each track. Also try to compress the Kick and bassline individualy.
Try to make it sound good in your headphones and compare with other songs..

Not sidechain. What he means is compress the bassline so it is a little louder. Compressing the kick and bassline together just makes them fit together better so it's not muddy in the low eq range.

so, first i compess the bass, and then (using a merge/split unit or simply a mixer, right?) i run both comperssed bass and kick into another compressor. is that it?
Hey. Actually, I'd recomend compressing the kick and then compressing the bass and the kick together. I wouldnt double compress the bass if you plan on making it at all dynamic. This isnt as important in trance as it is in house production though.
