WORST PRESIDENT EVER
PS Take this topic to the political forum.

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. - Timothy Leary

Here's your tasty political equations:
Carlos goes to UT, and this year alone faced increasingly, sarcastically, tuition costs = Carlos hates George Bush
Carlos missed out on 8 scholarships because he didnt vote for Bush and had too many negative opinions on him, therefore affecting his budget for a steady entry = Carlos hates George Bush
John Kerry looks like Carlos' favorite grandpa = Carlos hates G-Bush
In essence, Carlos will remain his macabre hatred against George Bush until further notice, and will continue holding up political signs, along with 50,000 other residents and students from Austin and its surrounding areas, year-round, to prove that the guilty one, the man trying to destroy the nation because he thinks giving money to other oil-filled nations will aid his country after all, and the person behind what I, and several thousand at UT/Government Dept. believe is the reason for our school's drastic increase in costs, and a record dropping percentage for the population of student drop outs (due to tuition and costs), is the reason why he shouldnt be elected once again.
Once again, re-electing Bush was the biggest mistake this country ever made. It put a mask on the US, and now the rest of the world is sitting there, laughing their asses off at us. Sometimes I feel like I am an only target in all this rukkus. I'm sure that if you asked other students at UT, they could tell you the same, and why their parents are begging there kids not to go to school.
It's sad....
Thanks G-Man

So much for moving this to the Poli-Wolli forum.

Query: since when does the federal government set tuition costs for a state-funded and state-sponsored institution? Answer: it doesn't. Pin the tail on a different mammal.

Query: did you use him as a reference? Whomever is sitting as the President of the United States has zilch to do with whether or not you qualify for a scholarship; your voting habits aren't even factors in the decision. If you aren't a blind illegal immigrant lesbian from a Third World nation with eighteen kids of dubious paternal lineages who can't speak English, you probably weren't going to get it anyway, any more than I could. Not every registered Republican veteran gets loving in the educational sphere.

Irrelevant projection of personal bias. Moving on.

Macabre? More like irrational. Texas Tech went through this same trend mid-Clinton, when the Montford plan was in high gear, and the tuition costs tripled in the space of about four semesters. Bill Clinton had nothing to do with that then any more than George Bush has to do with yours now. Blame your Board of Directors and your Chancellor for your tuition rise. Surely the 50,000 of you could have reasoned that out on your own.

History lesson: they've been laughing at us since 1808. It's only now that anyone's noticed except the History departments. Caligula put it best: Let them hate, so long as they fear. You're in Poli-Sci apparently, so I'll broach this directly: by "rest of the world", you're probably referring to the EU, who've had a hate-on for us since the Bosnia thing back in 1995 and have been looking for a way to get back at us for showing them up on their own turf. So be it. They still can't get their Constitution ratified, their dependancy on oil is even worse than ours is, and they're terrified someone's going to out them in the UN for hypocrites when it's pointed out that the exact same argument they applied to the use of armed force in Bosnia (ie - ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims = Holocaust = intolerable and inhuman war crime) applied to Iraq even without the WMD logic path (ethnic cleansing of Kurdish Muslims = Holocaust = intolerable and inhuman war crime) and they did nothing because it wasn't a "European" issue. So much for the happy Kantian-Marxist utopia they claim to be aiming for. I could put the spotlight on any location on the planet; if they're laughing, it's a front, and if they're not, they're really indifferent because it's not affecting them anyway.
Name a President who didn't manage to hack someone off for something or another. I can't, and I've tried. Even the ever-popular dynamo martyr JFK managed to get on someone's bad side enough that they greased him on a Dallas road. If anyone needs to be hung on a cross for they way things are being done, it's the American voting population for a: electing him and re-electing him, and b: ultimately being the ones responsible. If they voted against him, their fellow-reasoning homies not bothering to go to the polls set themselves up for failure that time.
For the record, I voted for Bush both times, and the second time, I put my absentee ballot in the mail three minutes after getting rocketed in Taji. After that, there isn't a voting-age soul in the nation who isn't dead or comatose who has an excuse good enough to pass muster with me.
You've the right to hate whomever you want to, but by all means please utilize proper justification rather than misappropriated spite.
