if it's a free rave, well, i'm pretty sure it would get a lot of people (given proper promotion of course). based on that, im sure a lot of good, albeit maybe not known DJs would spin for free, just for exposure. you just have to dig. btw, FREE RAVE = LOTS OF PEOPLE ON DRUGS = THEY DON'T WANNA LEAVE.
this means, this thing will go on forever. you prepared to not get up from mixing on a computer the ENTIRE NIGHT? what if their is a problem? what if you need to take a shit? consider this. check around man. maybe you can open and close the event, but i highly recommend getting more people to spin. i garauntee some guys will be willing to put part of their gear in the setup if you garauntee them a timeslot. i've seen guys lend a mixer, 2 decks, 2 monitors and an amp for a 150-200 people free party just for the chance to spin in front of them.
finally, SECURITY. you never know when a drug deal might go bad, or a fight will break out.
just my humble advice, based on throwing crazy afterparties.
