Remember how much you paid for that Tiesto show, and got 1.5hrs of your glorious headliner instead of promised 3hrs, not to mention he showed up several hours late and played a very average set. I can't believe you people keep falling for the same cheap marketing strategies over and over again. These aren't parties anymore, they're consumer events, with the DJ's name as a comodity instead of the music they're playing. Pathetic.

Tho can I ask you what you are doing for the scene lars? Ketih is bringing DJs, no matter what his motivation is, he is bringing DJs...plain and simple. And I do go for the music..thats why when there arent any big DJs in town, I go support my locals, like Dom G, Pauly and Anthem, Mark Thomas etc...hell I even like Crunchee and Mayhem..

How about you go eat a dick...just cuz keith is giving Edmonton the cold shoulder due to an unreceptive city doesnt mean he is doing bad buisness

That is not the point, not everybody is low enough to suck up to the promoter and be their flyer bitch in order to gain free access. BTW. in any respectable "scene" promoters actually *pay* people for flyering. Do you really think your buddy shockie got such a good deal ?

Also, I beleve Keith doesn't throw events in Edmonton because nobody wants to give him their money in exchange for overhyped overpaid "superstar" DJs. We learned our lesson two years ago at Ascension. Why do you think he had to throw parties through "United", which btw. broke away from him and are doing their own parties right now.

You need to decide where your loyalty is. Big name DJs will only spoil the party people - not even through quality music but merely through their fame and rockstar status, resulting in less and less support for the locals and small clubnights and events which are the backbone of the whole scene.

For one, Northrop why the fuck do u post here when all u do is cuss. Second of all, every part of the promotional part of the scene is important, from the flyering up. The reason that Keith doesn't throw a party in edmonton is because of all the critisizers their, if people would just be happy for the shows u get then defstar would hook Edmonton up, but u don't do that. Finally, Big name dj's do start in a local scene no doubt and it is important but Big name Dj's are Big name for a reason. they are the best, and if u go to where the scene is biggest and best (UK), you'll recognize that shit!

and since u live in edmonton..how can you comment on the local scene here in calgary? I nearly went up to edmonton just to see on of our DJs up there...*btw some guy named Diazo from e-town kix ass* Local scene is THE SCENE and big Djs are a treat. I dont expect them to come to our little town..they get bigger attendance in 1 night over there than they could even hope for in an entire candian tour. thats why its a treat...go take your jaded ass somewhere else.

Allright, chill ... all of you, especially Lars. Man ... there's seriously no need to lash out like that. You're giving Edmonton a bad name.

To all Calgary kids, there's some issues with Defstar and certain things they did to Edmonton (directly through their parties, and indirectly through various comments and attempts to undermine certain promoters here) that very few people know about. If you think Defstar deserves your support then by all means give them the support. From experience, I think your money is better spent elsewhere, and obviously many Edmonton kids think the same way.

Jspot, glad you enjoyed Diazo's set. We're quite good friends and I'm really happy to hear that he rocked Calgary good.

ok..well i mean im ready to let it all drop, I dont support any particular promoter, I support events. Farenheit brought Bad Boy Bill and it rocked. Horizon is bringing Taul Paul tonight and I hope itll rock. Defstar has a whole bunch, imperial bros had brought some good events, but had shitty promotion and lost $$$ on each of em.

Diazo kix ass. I literally have never danced that hard, that long in my life. My legs are still achin and that was last saturday night. I didnt like his first 3 songs..I will call that his build, cuz the rest of the night was soo banging that I dont even know what to call his style..I think we came up with progressive acid tech house. It was strange...then the 4th song hit, and i changed my mind, his music, is BANGIN..Skywarp..why not come play @ the warehouse some time? Diazo ripped shit up, and I would love to see him again. Did any of you e-towners check out Anthem?
