You must be new.

Back in 1999 thru 2002 Sac had a great nightlife. No, make that a phenomenal nightlife. Now in my previous post I didn't say it beat SF. Hell, SF had clubs that owned Sac and raves like HomeBase, Quest, Cyberfest, Metropolis, Spring... and shitload of other great parties that owned Sac. LA owned us too with Electric Daisy Carnival, How Sweet It Is, Together As One ( TAO 2000 best party of all time), Coachella, Nocturnal Wonderland, etc. Its wierd seeing a lot of sites/production companys gone under since then like b3cande, feelgood ent, clockworks events, etc. Heh, who remembers Lotus magazine? (Oh ya back to my point....)

But we had a great scene then too like Sac Late Nites for 3 years 1999-2001 which was open midnight to 5am with the best house and trance (not to mention massive puddles). There was 1831 Downtown (Open nights and on Sunday 6am - Noon for the crackheads!) GSpot, Club Vegas/Rocklin Live, Tower Club, 815L, Club VIP and a shitload of others. Sac/Nor Cal rave scene was great too..I could list hella parties with great lineups here, Groove Nation, MegaBuzz, Divas Playhouse. Theres too many to list. But everybody came down off their shit and in 2002 the party was over and most of the great clubs shut down (or got raided ).

Today most clubs follow suit with bars and close at 2am and the EDM scene sucks in Sac. SF and LA are the places I can escape to experience great music and great djs and remember the great times had 5-6 years ago. Now granted aside from the raves you would've had to been 18 back then to know what I'm talking about gehzumteufel (hell I only turned 18 in 1999 so I barely got in while the scene was on fire).

But the scene was great up here and now it isn't and a similar trend has followed up here. There are still some decent clubs and decent parties but its a far cry from what it used to be. (thank God for SF/LA )

THE END.
