I'm going to say 'SAW' and 'Jacob's Ladder'. Both are more psychological thrillers, but I find those to be more "scary" than your typical horror flick.
'Final Destination 1 & 2' and '28 Days Later' perhaps as well.
Personally I can't wait for 'Silent Hill', which is coming to theaters here in the US in April 2006. I'm a huge fan of the video game series. Keep an eye out for that.

No, I agree. Mostly because there was nothing scary in it. Just people running around in the woods and some sticks.
