My favourite set starter for a trance set is Bas van Veen: 'Total Recall' (Primo Lux remix). You can download a mix I did with it as the first track here. IMHO it's a great track to start a set with: it's got a really strong upward groove and loads of energy - this works big-time on the dancefloor as well.
