i actually use itunes and enjoy it because it displays the album artwork, allows me to create playlists and modify my preferences like a database.... very easy to use imo and has great database-like features.

the greatest strength of winamp is the PLUGINS and the the DSP features... Problem is, u can't use more than one of either at a time... so u gotta find the ultimate plug in... but WINAMP still hogs a fair bit of RAM (though compared to other players, less)


in the end, FOOBAR2000 is the best, for audio lovers. by far...

every piece of sound equipment i use, HEADPHONES, 5.1 channel sound system, HI-FI, i could TONE TEST, and get the PERFECT EQUILIER FOR. the sound quality is awesome once u do this, and u can hear bits of the music in the background, u've never heard before.

extremely efficient, and allows for a lot of tweaks.

I can confirm Apollo makes the mp3's sound better than winamp. This with a above avg headset.

I just downloaded Apollo and the sound quality is DEFINATELY better than Winamp.

But how to raise or lower the volume? And from where can I download equaliser presets to load in it?
