I'm a teller at a small bank, Cal National, if any of you have heard of it. there are a few scams out there the most common ones are: Nigerian letter scams: in which victims receive correspondence from Nigeria and the United Kingdom that claim someone with a bank account outside Nigeria is needed to help recover a large sum of money. Lottery/sweepstakes scams: in which telemarketers say their victims have won a big cash prize in a foreign sweepstakes.

a few Red flags to watch for are pressure to act quickly, a requirement to pay money up front, refusal to send written information and the inability to answer questions.
