I totally hear ya there mate... vocals generally kill a good trance tune. There are very few examples where the tune is actually complimented by the vocal. The first example of a tune in this boat that comes to mind is Ian Van Dahl- Castles In The Sky (original club mix) versus Ian Van Dahl- Castles In The Sky (perfect sphere remix)... the vocal version I dislike and IMO the non-vocal version is much better.
