get a humidifier... if you have static on your clothes, get a spray called Static Guard - it smells funny but it works.

It happens alot to me in winter time because the air is drier. I have this problem at home as well. I have a metal computer case as well as a metal desk so I shock my computer all the time and then I get a blue screen hardware failure error and have to reboot.

Carpeting makes it worse too.
