it totally sucks. I don't think I had it though, but a virus very similar. When i got it my throat swelled up so that I could not swallow, so i had strep throat and mono like symptoms. Well I took a medicine for the strep that reacts with mono and gives ya a rash, but I never got a rash. the test they ran on me didn't check for mono, just a blood cell count to se if I had a virus. which I did. plus I know a person got whatever I got and they got the spot check for mono, they failed that test.
blah, as far as drinking, it will kill you....not literally but it will make the symptoms 30x worse. My throat was just starting to swell up and I went out and got hammered. I woke up and my throat was about shut and I couldn't think straight, couldn't sleep, had a massive fever, it was bad.
id take about 3 - 4 weeks off drinking at least. oh and you will have eretile dysfunction too hehe.
