Matt Darey: Have you moved on from the classic trance sound forever and how do you see dance music evolving over the next few years?
Ferry Corsten: I have been making the ‘classic’ trance style for over seven years and I feel it’s time to move on, or at least experiment with different styles. By doing this, I increase the chance of hitting a totally new sound.

Great interview. I like the questions that were asked, it seemed a bit more fun. Ferry is awesome and a great dj to see live. Can't wait for the next event!

LOL! what kind of a crap question is that?! i bet darey didn't even bother to look at the tracklists of those albums let alone listen to them if he's asking a question like that.
That's cool that he mentions Toronto. Last year I was reading iDJ magazine and there was an interview with him and he again mentioned his favorite club being The Guvernment in Toronto. He even talked about one night he was there and he was scheduled to spin for only 4 hours but he was having so much fun that he decided to stay on for another 4 and close the night. It was great to read personally b/c that was the first night I ever heard Ferry play and to this day it was hands down the best night I've ever had at the Guvernment. (March 2004)

Read it last week, and it was quite a good one for sure. Cool that Ferr's still trying too find a unique sound instead of that classic one.

I dunno wot Ferry means by not making "classic" trance anymore. Wot i will say and have been saying for a year is that his electro trance thing is BAWS times 10 to the power of infinity. And thats an understatement to how shite sum of his sets and his productions have been of late
