Lol, no I've never been to Miami at all before, so thanks for the info. I'll be looking online for tickets (I'm actually pretty good at that) so maybe things might not be all bad.
no it wont be bad. just make sure you're early. thats the most important thing.
what kinda tickets are you looking for? cuz tickets for the clubs arent on sale yet. they probably wont be for awhile.

I meant future tense when I said "I'll be looking for tickets." I know that there won't be anything announced/available for a while.

dont get me wrong, ultra is awesome, but if you go to conference then ultra is just the same exact shit you've heard all week long so its kinda pointless when you attend wmc.
I'd say Ultra would also be an opportunity to see who ever you missed durring the week. There's so much going on that you're bound to miss something.
Bring cash, and play it by ear.

i dont agree. a one hour ultra set doesnt do justice to the 3-4 hours i missed at the club. not for the price atleast. and i've been to ultra a ton of times and actually missed the people i've wanted to see. thats what i hate about it. at the clubs you can kinda guess (and be right most of the time) about what time the djs are gonna come on. at ultra its so completely random. i hate the fact that they dont release the time slots until you get there. its the gayest thing in the world! and one of the many reasons i will never go to ultra again. it just sucks that this year they decide to bring prodigy.

if u buy your tickets now, at "$66", it will really be $86, when u include all the fees and shipping & handling.

Def get hard tickets for the parties...im speaking from experience (aka last year) i ordered my tixx as will-call before flying in, and it was a BITCH AND A HALF to get the actual tickets the night of the party cuz the WILLCALL window was poorly managed and didn't open till late. also having to travel to and from South Beach via taxi was a trip and a half. Better just to buy tickets at the outlets if you live in FLA or have them mailed to you (outside of Florida). Buying tickets prepurchased solves every problem.

I think it depends on why you are going. I've seen two types of attendees. The first is the hard core music fan that is there purely to see their favorite DJ, producer, or artist and don’t care about whether or not they have a place to sit down. The second group consists of those who go because it’s a huge party and they want to be seen at this huge party.
Granted, there are exceptions to every rule. But if you have the budget for VIP, by all means, enjoy. But I think the best part of it is walking around and getting a taste of everything that’s going on. It’s kind of like spending $2500 for a hotel room you’ll barely sleep in that week.
Very well said.
If you can really afford to piss away a couple hundred bucks for ultra VIP, go for it...but it isn't worth the money you'll spend. IMO.

umm last year at carry on, there was a HUGE line for a lot of people, and a lot of crazed crazed people. Fights ensued, the cops came, and several of us got ripped off.
