It's not free, but "slayer" is pretty incredible for electric guitar. (tons of amp simulators too)

I prefer NI Kontakt rigged up with Giga guitar- mixed with Waves Bundle Trueverb, it presents a most realistic sound, IMO. I believe Envio used a Giga guitar in "Love Poison".
