hmm i played on the dns3500 last friday at a club and HATED it..man that cd player is terrible..i couldnt mix for shit on it. im used to the cdj 1000, nice clean cd player..this cd player had way too many buttons on it and was just a cluster fuck..also the pitch was really buggy and everytime i tapped the jogwheeel the whole track would go off beat like it felt like a really bad belt driven turntable...definitely dont recomend this player, go for a cdj 1000 for sure..much easier to adapt to and just a overall better cd player for your money.

I dont want to start a flamewar here but maybe you should get to know the player before passing such harsh judgement. The first time you used this player was in a club enviroment? no wonder you encountered some hickups.

This is the first time I've heard anyone claim the pitch is "buggy". Of course bending using the scratch platter is going to be different from a cdj1000. I'd probably have similar problems using a cdj1000.

I'm sorry but you not being able to use it properly doenst make it a bad player. I have tried it and i love it. I'm getting one in spite of the bugs as i am confident they will be dealt with soon.

First time I used a pioplayer i thougt it sucked, the mixes sounded terrible and i hated it at that time. But that´s just because i wasen´t used to play on them. Give the denon a few tries (as i did with the pioplayers) and you probobly like them better.

It got me a while too until I felt comfortable with the 800 and 1000's after been using the 500's at home for over three years...but I wouldn't give a pair of CDJ1000's up for anything...

See I'm the exact opposite of Trondman. The first time I ever used CD decks they were Pioneer CDJ100s and I had a flawless set. Since then the only decks I've ever had a real problem with have been the dz1200s, I hate those things.
