On the mix front, I think would work - yeah it builds down, but it could work as almost a "breakdown" in a set... drops down for that then you build up again for the next track (this is more likely to work live than in a recorded mix though).

Alternatively, you could finish a mix like that - I quite often take it back down a step for the last track in a mix as it can leave the whole mix sounding more rounded, although in this case the leap down might be a bit to large & sudden.

It would most likely to work live.
There is nothing wrong in changing the tempo from time to time. You will find that the more you play out the more you understand that people don't want to be bombarded the whole time.
It could also work nicely if you find yourself in a position where you don't have the favour of the crowd and you need to go in a different direction.

With regards to the mix itself it's just a harmonic mix nothing too fancy. The majority of harmonic mixers here are probably thinking the same thing.

Not wanting to sound discouraging or anything but...
If you are hoping to make it as a DJ, you guys had better get used to the idea that pretty much all your mixes should sound like this or better.

Good job though, you are definately moving in the right direction. And don't worry about the BPM comments. Your speed was fine, just too many people who are used to the prog sound around.

They guy was asking more about the artistic content and has discovered some tunes that work nicely together. Sure, the matching could have been a bit more tidy but to dismiss it as sh!t is a little harsh.
With comments like that I'm inclined to want to ask you to put your money where your mouth is, so let's see how you mix? You may well be good but if you are going to post be a bit more constructive or don't bother.

thats actually a really good example of a nice transition i liked it alot. doesnt have to build good to take your set in a different direction then maybe build again!

sorry gota say the mix was not good at all. dont care for the songs together but its good that your tryin new things... eq outa the track a bit better and get it beat matched and it mite sound better but i cant say that it would matter much with the loss of energy. keep at it and record everything... listen to it over and over. save some of the older recordings and go back every 4-6 weeks and you’ll notice the improvements big time! then try to mix the same songs and you mite find a way to pull shit off you never thought of before. keep at it!

I liked it and Hello Ladies is a good track. As for the DBing, it was hardly anything at all, most people in a club aren't going to notice a little thing like that. It happens to everyone.
