Girl DJs have it pretty good then? If the talent is there, they get a head start if they're good looking, they get more attention and might be recognized because there isn't very many chicky poo djs...But how come none have made it to the top?

Producing skills - almost every top DJ is also a producer. I would actually call most mainly producers and DJs ont he side, because I do not see what makes Armin so special as a DJ. Or Ferry.

As Cosmic Fur said, Its all about producing.

Look at Tiesto, his DJing skill is amature at best (or he just doesnt give a fack... for like, every signle set he plays).

But he produces (or steals peoples tracks and clames it as his own).


So it order to be HUGE you must:

1. Have some minor DJing skills

2. Create and release EDM tracks (try to get them picked up by a label, or start your own)

3. Get a good promotion team & agent

If you are a girl, I think a good strategy would be to use sex appeal to bring people to see you, then kick their ass with your DJing skills!

I think thats about it. Remember, you need to both produce (good)tracks, and have decent DJing skills in order to be taken seriously in the DJ world. (especially as a female)
