I've got the same one. Kick-ass display - super sharp, great contrast, PiP, and it's got a slot for every single flash card on the side (including the stupid Sony one - I think!).

Only thing that pisses me off is you can't adjust the contrast when using DVI. But with the brightness all the way down to zero it's alright.

Glad to see you guys like the display. I was gonna buy a 21", but figured i might as well spend a little extra on a 24" so that i won't have to buy another LCD for another 2-3 years.

Also, i've decided to, after all, build the damn thing myself. Shit, i just wanna be able to customize everything to my liking. That and i really want one of those badass new home theater cases, as opposed to the same outdated tower design.

The original Half-Life engine is a heavily modified Quake2 engine, by id Software.

This is my LCD.

Dated design by today's standards (2 years old) but it has a built-in TV tuner. Pretty rad.

I built his same shit almost exactly, back in 2004, except I had an old Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB kickin' around that I still use .

Athlon64 3200+
Asus K8V SE Deluxe mobo
some old case I had
1GB Samsung PC3200 DDR RAM
120GB Seagate SATA-150 harddrive
some old Pioneer slot-loading DVD drive I had (moved CD burner to other comp, cause iPods don't need CDs).

Just under a g-note for the CPU, HSF, mobo, harddrive, and RAM.

On another note, I used to run an Athlon 1400 as well. I had a Globalwin FOP38 fan and some fucking wackjob all copper heatsink that weighed almost 700 grams that had to be screwed into the mobo as if would literally rip the socket off if it were simply clipped on (I cannot remember the name of it).

That was back in my days of overclocking... I was determined to take that "worn out Thunderbird core" CPU to the fucking limit, as the 1400 was the supposed pinnacle of that Tbird core.

I rigged up a shitload of small 120mm Globalwin fans in some dryer ducting, and ran said ducting over top of the heatsink/fan/CPU combo and then the other end out my fucking window. This was the middle of winter, so -10°C temps were common.

Sucking in sub-zero temperature air at some ungodly CFM, I was able to take a CPU that would top 70°C at full load down to about 20°C under full load and bring it up to 1780MHz.

1400 top end, indeed I showed up a bunch of people back then. Holy shit I was a nerd. ePenis++

I have been looking at the Acer 26" 16:9 LCD for my computer (currently have a 19" Sony Trinitron)

But after i saw that Dell 24"...it's a tough choice now. DVI in AND the rotate function

Too bad it's 16:10 tho. not sure if my ATI 9250 will like the native on it.
