yes! intro tracks are so very important because they set up the whole mix. which is why I hate it when a DJ Starts off a mix with a 4/4 beat. like my friend does. hes a good DJ but everyone of his mixes start off lackluster because of it.

A good intro is always important. but for me, the closer / ending track is more important. I find it easier to get INTO a set [if the opener is bad], than it is to get a bad closer out of my head.

on topic tho, good intros that i liked :

Tiesto - Essential Mix [07-08-2005]
1) Kosmas Epsilon - Innocent Thoughts

Armin - Essential Mix [02-09-2003]
1) Mark Otten - Mushroom Therapy

Other tracks that are good to start w/:
Synergy - Hello Strings
Ave Mea - In the End
Moonman - Galaxia [Symphonic Remake]
Armin Van Buuren - Prodemium

If I were a DJ (which i'm not) and I was going to make a set (which i'm not) I might start it with

Sasha vs Mike Koglin - Enjoy the Wavy Gravy

The song Blacklight - Daydream is a pretty good intro track and it starts with a 4/4...
