From what I've read James Lavelle is pretty much the core.
On their "Never Never Land" CD (I bought it over the weekend) Unkle is credited as, "James Lavelle and Richard File".
DJ Shadow was credited on the previous CD (Psyence Fiction) but was not involved in the "Never Never Land" project.
Adam Freeland from what I can tell, has never been involved with Unkle unless he remixed something?

UNKLE
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Originally consisting of James Lavelle and DJ Shadow, the group UNKLE began with an impressive 1998 debut album, Psyence Fiction, in which they collaborated with a variety of guest artists including Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Mike D (Beastie Boys), and Richard Ashcroft (The Verve).
In 2003, without DJ Shadow and the addition of new collaborator Richard File, UNKLE released Never, Never, Land which featured Ian Brown (The Stone Roses), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Robert Del Naja (Massive Attack), Mani (The Stone Roses, Primal Scream) and others.
Lavelle has also released many mix albums and remixes under the name 'UNKLE'.

Quite a diverse group of people to be working with, which is what tweaked my interest in the first place.
Interesting piece of trivia, in the song, "An Eye for an Eye" there are spoken words from the movie, "The Thin Red Line" (a great pyschological war movie) which is one of my favourite movies ever...
| quote: |
This great evil.
Where's it come from?
How'd it steal into the world?
What seed, what root did it grow from?
Who's doing this?
Who's killing us?
Robbing us of life and light.
Mocking us with the sight
of what we might have known.
Does our ruin benefit the Earth?
Does it help the grass to grow
or the sun to shine?
ls this darkness in you, too?
Have you passed through this night?
|
Bolded lines are in the song.
The original words are credited to a group called, "Explosions in the Sky" and their song, "Have you passed through this night?".

The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all change to silver glass...and then you see it...
...white shores...and beyond...the far green country under a swift sunrise."
