Just got my copy of this and it's great to hear Simon returning back to the good sounds. The remix is nothing compared to the original.

Actually, Many of the well known trance producers made some really great remixes of Art Of Trance tunes, Producers such as Ferry Corsten, Cygnus X and Oliver Lieb all had there hands at remixing there tracks and they sounded great.
There's like 2 decent remixes of the older AoT tracks which almost manage to challenge the originals... Cygnus X remix of Madagascar & Sunday Club mix of Kaleidoscope. Clanger mix of Gloria doesn't stand a chance with the original. Trope remix of Cambodia is a wicked remix but original defeats it as well. MWNN remix of Octopus is brilliant and possibly the 3rd remix equally good with original.
Most later remixes of AoT are pretty lame, especially Ferry's mix of Madagascar because he didn't do much at all with it but just added his sounds on Cygnus X remix and just by that Cygnus X remix is way better. Even funnier is that none of the remixes base on original; they all base on Cygnus X's totally different take on the track. Cygnus X remixes of Easter Island and Breathe aren't anything special compared to the brilliant originals either but Dawnseekers mix of Breathe is a worthy version tho. Lieb's mix of Kaleidoscope is fine but the mentioned Sunday Club mix is better. All in my opinion naturally.

sacrilege!!! but then again IMO cygnus x > art of trance any day. art of trance is nice too, but cygnus x is way better IMO and i much prefer the cygnus x remixes of all mentioned art of trance tracks. anyway i'm gonna have to check this one out.

a straight-up trance tune that i finally enjoy! wow this has been awhile lol...
in my opinion the original mix is almost flawless. love the acid sounds in the track. everything meshes together really well. the opening bell sounds extremely similar to the one used in Aria - Dido (AvB remix)
the Vorontsov & Dorohov Remix is alright. sounds sort of housier and more dance-floor oriented but still doesnt compare to the original. i hope they dont release a bunch of remixes butchering this beauty

it does have a nice feel to it, especially the bassline, but those moaning vocals.... ehhhhhhhhh i just don't think this is my kind of stuff anymore

Seems someone has been looking back to set the sound of the future. Which is all good in my book. Im a sucker for the middle-eastern chanting and this one sure hits the spot right on. However i do feel it could have benefited from a bit more acid sounds. Maybe a future remix will deliver that.

Very good track. Nice to hear this kind of trance (this is no commercial uplifting shit), I thought it was dead Good TB-303 basslines, good feeling. Remix was also very good. Both 8,5/10

That's true!
Since I love Dido till death, I can really appreciate this tune. Only one thing could have been better, I'd luv to hear a dub version!

Frankly, I don't hear anything that special about this track... and I'm having hard time believing this will be remembered as one of the AoT classics later on despite people throwing tens around here... This might have worked better 10 years ago...
Anyway, gotta agree with Skip about Cygnus X's remix of Easter Island. Now, there's a tune.
