the v700's aren't that bad, but they do have flaws

i've used almost every headphone out there, and so far, i'm kinda preferring the pioneers, for design and use, for sound quality i prefer the sony v6... but that's just my taste

i would highly recommend you go out and test them out for yourself, take stuff with you that you mix and give them a listen

The Sony MDR-V700DJ's have okay sound quality, probably better than a lot of what you have heard, but, the fact is, they go for $100-$150. You can get better sounding non-dj headphones for $30:

http://www.headphone.com/layout.php...ctID=0020130035

And better sounding DJ headphones without the side swivel feature, and more durability, but all the other good features of the V700DJ's for $60:

and DJ headphones with *ALL* the good features of the V700DJ's, plus more durability, and a LOT more sound quality, for the same price as the V700DJ's:

So, you see, they are a pretty bad buy, considering...

i guess i have to run some test somewhere... what all of you are telling me is for that price it should be pure qaulity and i agree for that price they should be pure qaulity. oh yea another note is v6 also v600? but yea... i want pure qaulity sound i dont' care for looks. since my homie already has those v700's i'll jus use those wen i spin in front of people but at home use for practice behind the decks for a long time i prefer qaulity and comfort...

No, the Sony MDR-V6 is not the Sony MDR-V600. The Sony MDR-V600 is the second the worst bang for your buck value in the headphone kingdom. The only things that tops it for being the worste headphone-related waste of money are those headphones that Bose makes, which cost more and sound worse. Also the MDR-V600 have no bass, whereas the MDR-V6 has plenty.

Hey, raptor, at home, how much are you against using full sized headphones?

Headphones that block out no outside noise?

Headphones that are not good for *one eared* monitoring?

Headphones that cannot be driven from a portable cd player, minidisk player, or pc sound card, or any other gutless source?

i MIGHT buy the v700's... if i could find them for a decent price, they sound not too bad, but the bass is just lacking a little tooo much for my taste... if sony would put the v6 drivers in a shell like the 700's then they might be on to something...
here's a link to the sony v6's
