Maybe... but if you are not into the basics yet (most people want to start with at least some first sucess before studying really technical stuff) and you read on a forum "do this, do that with lp, notch... whatever set it to xyw" there is no common language between the pro and the beginner. If you have a book with nice pictures, some presets and a project ready to load into your sequencer, you can at least see what this and that does and can start changing parameters etc.

Also, the guy who wrote the book has a forum and answers questions from guys who are eagar to learn the basics. Which other producer does this?

Right, the forum is really nice. I don't know if it will stay like it is, because the book is quite new and Torsten might loose interest someday. But I have allready got some interesting answers to my questions regarding his workflow etc.
